About
As a former au pair from France, Nadia Price is excited to act as a resource for American families looking for flexible, affordable, quality, live-in childcare.
In 1999-2000, Nadia cared for 18-months-old triplets and a 5-year-old girl for a family in Greenville, South Carolina. She came to America to discover the culture and experience the American Way of Life with a family. Not only did she enjoy the warm Southern welcome and watching the host children learn new things each day, she became fluent in English and met her husband in a Spanish class!
She strongly recommends the program both to students for the life-enriching experience of adapting to a completely new cultural and linguistic environment, but also to families looking to expose their children to another culture and language. Children are our future, and they are citizen of an ever more globalized and connected world.
A native from France, in the Alsace region which borders Germany, Nadia is fluent in English, French, German and is conversational in Spanish. She has utilized her language skills in translation sales management and international marketing. She became a local childcare coordinator (LCC) in 2006 in Columbia then Greenville for a total of 3 years, and now counsels parents on their childcare needs. Her goal is to help them assess whether the au pair program is the best childcare option for their family by providing information, tips and ideas on hosting an au pair.
